AECOM is seeking a Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer with experience with chem gas to lead the design of specialty gas, bulk gas and chemical distribution systems for our Advanced Manufacturing practice. You will be the technical authority on hazardous production materials and ultra-high-purity (UHP) systems, working directly with client facilities, EHS and tool teams from concept through turnover.

Business sectors: semiconductor, battery, energy and nuclear fuel, and defense and aerospace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years designing specialty gas or chemical distribution systems for high-purity facilities.
• Knowledge of NFPA 55/400, ASME B31.3, IFC hazardous materials provisions and CGA standards.

Responsabilités

• Design bulk and specialty gas systems including gas cabinets, VMBs/VMPs, purifiers and connections.
• Design bulk chemical distribution for acids, bases, solvents, CMP slurry and battery electrolyte.
• Specify UHP materials and quality and perform related testing.
• Lead code and life-safety strategy analyses and documentation.
• Coordinate toxic gas monitoring, emergency shutdown and exhaust abatement with HVAC and controls.
• Develop P&IDs, utility matrices, tool hookups and POC design; perform hydraulic and pressure-drop calculations.
• Support construction, submittals, RFIs, testing and turnover.
• Serve as client-facing technical lead in workshops and pursuits; mentor engineers.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
