AECOM is seeking a Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer to design specialty gas, bulk gas and chemical distribution systems for Advanced Manufacturing. Lead as the technical authority on hazardous materials and UHP systems from concept to turnover with client sites and cross-functional teams.

You will guide code compliance, life-safety analyses, and P&ID development while coordinating with HVAC, controls, and field teams. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 55, NFPA 400, ASME B31.3, IFC hazardous materials provisions and CGA standards.
• PE license, or ability to obtain PE within 24 months.
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D and P&ID development.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsabilités

• Design bulk chemical distribution systems for acids, bases, solvents, CMP slurry and battery electrolyte.
• Specify UHP materials, cleanliness and testing, including EP 316L, PFA/PVDF and related qualifications.
• Lead code and life-safety strategy, occupancy analysis, and MSDS/documentation.
• Coordinate toxic gas monitoring, emergency shutdown and exhaust with HVAC and controls.
• Develop P&IDs, utility matrices, tool hookup and POC design with hydraulic calculations.
• Support construction: submittals, RFIs, pressure testing, commissioning and turnover.
• Serve as client-facing technical lead in workshops; mentor engineers; travel as needed.
