Job summary

Synerfac is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer for an established engineering consulting firm in Wyomissing, PA. The role focuses on leading mechanical projects for metals manufacturing and industrial facilities, developing designs, specs, and documentation, and overseeing capital equipment procurement and installation.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive metals industry experience, strong AutoCAD proficiency, and the ability to independently manage assignments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years design, fabrication, and procurement experience for metals industry equipment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of industry codes/standards.
• Experience with metals manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to manage assignments within budgets and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support mechanical engineering projects for metals and industrial facilities.
• Develop designs, specs, and drawings for equipment and systems.
• Coordinate procurement and fabrication of capital equipment.
• Provide expertise in machine design, hydraulics, pneumatics, ventilation, dust collection, piping, and combustion systems.
• Oversee onsite field surveys and coordinate with clients and vendors.
• Manage projects from initial investigation through design and implementation.
• Ensure project budgets and schedules are maintained.
