Job summary

Synerfac Inc. in Wyomissing, PA seeks an experienced Mechanical Piping Engineer to design and manage industrial piping systems across sectors. You will develop piping layouts, perform sizing calculations, and create P&IDs and isometrics.

Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years of piping experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or Plant 3D is a plus. This permanent position offers collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience designing and sizing industrial piping systems.
• Experience developing P&IDs, isometric drawings, plans, and elevations.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems handling water, gases, oils, chemicals and solvents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit/Plant 3D a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop piping systems for industrial facilities.
• Perform piping system sizing, pressure drop calculations, and material evaluations.
• Prepare P&IDs, isometrics, plans, and elevation drawings.
• Develop piping layouts and specifications for various fluids and solvents.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Assist with material specifications and equipment requirements.
• Perform piping stress analysis as needed.
• Utilize AutoCAD to develop drawings and construction documents.
• Conduct onsite field surveys and verify existing piping systems.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
