Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a maintenance technician in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role focuses on expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance across factory equipment, with responsibilities to diagnose root causes in electrical and mechanical systems, disassemble devices, source parts, and lead process improvements.

The candidate will train others, utilize predictive maintenance data, and ensure safety and 5S standards in a factory environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 5 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 7 years of experience in specific industry.
• Experience in predictive technologies, precision alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; can analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Experience in vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations, precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance.
• Identify and source parts and repairs; evaluate alternatives for cost/reliability.
• Lead CI activities and drive cost savings.
• Setup and operate multiple machining operations; welding tasks may be required.
• Follow safety policies and maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Train and mentor lower level technicians and project teams.
• Troubleshoot complex control systems and analyze data to resolve issues.
• Maintain CMMS records and review equipment history.
