Job summary

Advanced Technology Services in Belvidere, IL seeks an experienced industrial maintenance technician to perform expert level break-fix and preventive maintenance to keep factories running smoothly.

You will diagnose complex electrical and mechanical problems, repair or replace faulty parts, test equipment, and document performance data while following safety policies. ATS offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to train and lead teams onsite.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a technical focus and 12 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 15 years of experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; can analyze and repair.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and specialized tools; programming software as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex control systems, electrical drives, and motion control devices.
• Dismantle, repair or replace defective parts and test device performance.
• Document work in service reports and maintain manuals and data for upgrades.
• Train and mentor lower-level technicians and support project teams.
