Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) seeks an experienced maintenance professional in Illinois to perform expert level break-fix, preventive maintenance, and complex system improvements across mechanical and electrical equipment.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, predictive analytics, and CI-driven cost savings, with responsibilities including equipment condition assessment, documenting procedures, training junior technicians, and adhering to safety and 5S standards on a factory floor.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 7 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 10 years of experience in specific industry.
• Proficiency in predictive technologies including vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations, precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs expert level break-fix & preventive maintenance, and/or design of mechanical and electrical equipment improvements.
• Programs, troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration problems.
• Utilizes predictive equipment and interprets results for analysis and maintenance planning.
• Leads CI activities—processes, results and cost savings using CI tools.
• Identifies and sources parts and repair items; suggests engineered solutions to improve reliability.
• Maintains CMMS history and updates records.
