Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Nassau County, NY facility on the night shift. The role focuses on high-speed automated conveyor systems, mechanical overhauls, and PLC diagnostics to minimize downtime.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and automation issues, and ensure precise calibration of sensors on production and sorting lines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Experience with high-speed automated conveyor systems.
• Familiarity with PLC diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Ability to perform mechanical overhauls and preventive maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical troubleshooting and system calibration.

Responsibilities

• Conveyor System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, complex repairs, and full overhauls on high-speed conveyor systems.
• Mechanical Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components including motors, drive gears, bearings, chains, sprockets, and O-rings.
• Electrical & Automation: Perform electrical troubleshooting, system calibrations, and basic PLC diagnostics/fault-finding to minimize equipment downtime.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute regular PM schedules, inspect machinery for wear and tear, and perform emergency repairs during shift.
• Precision & Calibration: Ensure proper alignment, tensioning, and precise calibration of sensor and control components on production and sorting lines.
