Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to inspect, maintain, and repair conveyor systems and material-handling equipment at our Commerce, CA facility. The role emphasizes safety, timely response to breakdowns, and routine preventive maintenance, with opportunities for overtime and shift differentials.

The candidate should have 1+ years of mechanical/electrical experience, high voltage exposure, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related mechanical/electrical experience or training.
• High voltage electrical experience required.
• Current driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment; respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on conveyors and related equipment.
• Change/repair parts; rebuild and align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts.
• Follow illustrated parts breakdown and operation manuals for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain clean work areas and conduct daily equipment inspections.
• Occasionally work after hours to support 24-hour operations; adhere to Safety Program.
