Job summary

Sonoco in Hartselle, AL is seeking a Senior Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician (IMRT) to support maximum plant reliability. You will perform proactive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and drive root-cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines.

Required are strong hands-on skills, PLC knowledge, welding/fabrication capability, and CMMS proficiency, with safety as a top priority. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; vocational focus preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in maintenance is preferred.
• Strong hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting skills across mechanical/electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks to maximize plant reliability.
• Troubleshoot failures and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation systems.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and follow safety procedures.
• Support proactive preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
