Job summary

J.S. Held LLC is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead Industrial Hygiene & Built Environment projects. You will manage client relationships, drive business growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee multidisciplinary teams across sectors in the greater Mid-Atlantic region.

The role requires deep IH expertise, strong communication, and the ability to deliver profitable projects while mentoring staff and expanding our market presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IH, EHS, or related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive consulting experience in IH/EHS or built environment services.
• Experience managing complex IH, IEQ investigations, regulatory compliance, and exposure assessments.
• Proven success generating client relationships and profitable project outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state OSHA regulations and applicable compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IH and built environment consulting projects from initiation to completion.
• Deliver high-quality technical services while ensuring regulatory compliance and profitability.
• Develop and maintain client relationships across real estate, insurance, legal, construction, manufacturing, and public sectors.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to service-line growth.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and technical reports; support client presentations.
• Provide technical guidance on IH, IEQ, occupational health, and hazardous materials matters.
• Mentor junior staff and promote technical excellence within teams.
• Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions and expand client relationships.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to support strategic growth.
• Represent J.S. Held at industry events and client meetings to enhance market presence.
