Job summary

J.S. Held LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Industrial Hygiene to lead growth within the Industrial Hygiene & the Built Environment practice. This role blends technical IH leadership with client development to expand services and profitability across the region.

The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage complex EH&S projects, and mentor staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Geology, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EH&S consulting experience with IH background.
• Proven ability to lead, grow teams and secure profitable projects.
• In-depth knowledge of California environmental regulations (Cal/OSHA, DTSC, RWQCB).
• Willingness to travel regionally to support engagements and business development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your industry network and market insight.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and regional positioning.
• Lead proposals, client presentations, and contract negotiations for high-value projects.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic account management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Oversee EH&S projects including IH assessments, environmental investigations, and risk mitigation.
