Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will design HVAC systems for heavy industrial facilities, performance and coordination with multi-discipline teams.

The role involves layout, development of conceptual and final construction documents (chilled water, cooling water), field investigations, and collaboration with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
