Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the Effectors portfolio of factories in Tucson, Arizona to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver increasing value to the customer.

Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a master's.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Experience applying Lean, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, and Process Optimization.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value streams, and capacity indicators.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean to reduce waste and improve on-time delivery.
• Draft infrastructure improvements and plan integration of new products.
• Influence cross-functional teams to execute projects that boost factory performance.
• Support new production contracts and product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
