Job summary

Spectrum Brands, Inc. is seeking an New Product Industrial Designer for a hybrid role based at Earth City, MO. The designer will translate consumer needs into new, user-focused delivery systems and devices, collaborating with engineering, marketing and manufacturing to drive innovation.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in industrial design, strength in 3D modeling, prototyping and design-for-manufacturing, plus a portfolio showing bold, consumer-facing concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design is required.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial design.
• 3+ years in hard goods design execution.
• Proficiency in Acrobat Pro, SolidWorks, Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts focused on ergonomics, form, and function for hard and packaged goods.
• Leverage software to create 2D/3D renderings and solid models.
• Prototype using rapid prototyping lab and conventional fabrication techniques.
• Collaborate with Marketing, New Product Development, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
• Incorporate AI-enabled design capabilities into iterative development.
