Job summary

Spectrum Brands is seeking a New Product Industrial Designer to join the Home & Garden R&D team. You will translate consumer needs into innovative products, working with engineering, marketing and manufacturing to design usable, manufacturable devices.

You will prototype, render and test concepts, collaborating across functions and advancing design-for-manufacturing while exploring AI-enabled development. This hybrid role offers flexible work and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design.
• 4+ years in industrial design.
• 3+ years in hard goods design execution.
• Proficiency in Acrobat Pro, SolidWorks, Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint.
• Experience with consumer-packaged goods preferred.
• Portfolio showing design thinking and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Translate consumer insights into new products and experiences.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
• Develop concepts focusing on ergonomics, form and function.
• Create 2D/3D renders, prototypes and mockups.
• Work with rapid prototyping labs for iterative development.
• Support manufacturing teams on design-for-manufacturing tasks.
• Integrate AI capabilities in development processes.
