Placements24 in London seeks a Senior Industrial Design Engineer to lead the design and integration of manufacturing processes for new products. You will optimize workflows, plant layouts, and equipment, while collaborating with R&D and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.

The role requires 7+ years in industrial design and process engineering, strong CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and experience with lean manufacturing and IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in industrial design and process engineering within manufacturing.
• Experience in NPI and DFM.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and lean principles.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Leadership and team collaboration abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949.

Responsabilités

• Lead industrial design and process engineering for NPIs.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and plant layouts.
• Design and select manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with R&D and product design for DFM.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions for production.
