Job summary

Key People is hiring a Senior Product Design Engineer to design precision mechanical products from concept through production release. You will perform hands-on CAD work, analysis, prototype evaluation, and collaborate with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires translating requirements into detailed designs, maintaining 3D models and drawings, performing tolerancing and verification, and supporting NPI, changes, and field troubleshooting while

Qualifications

• Design mechanical products through production release with hands-on CAD and analysis.
• Proficient in 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and ECR processes.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, interfaces, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and conditions into product specifications and designs.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, bills of materials, and documentation.
• Perform calculations, material selection, tolerancing, and risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability in mind.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting in production or field.
• Provide guidance to less experienced engineers and improve reusable design practices.
