Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and vendors.

The role requires a BS in engineering, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), cost-analysis ability, and experience with ERP and NPI processes. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of engineering practices, procedures, and manufacturing processes.
• Basic understanding of automation, fluid power, electrical, electronic and electronic control systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.
• A self-starter able to work independently and resolve technical manufacturing issues.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, eDrawings and other 3D CAD software.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Office365 applications including Outlook, Chrome, Edge, One Drive, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Break down customer's documentation package and enter BOM into ERP for quoting.
• Collaborate on design inputs and manufacturability of products and systems.
• Participate in all phases of product lifecycle from design to re-work.
• Create manufacturing instructions, test procedures and packaging specs.
• Coordinate with vendors, sales, engineering, and customers to resolve issues.
• Maintain Documentation Control for files and drawings on production floor.
• Manage NPI department jobs, scheduling and materials status.
• Produce detailed manufacturing work instructions as time permits.
• Initiate Engineering Change Orders for design or process changes.
• Generate cost analysis reports for materials and labor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
