Job summary

Hood Industries, Inc. in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is seeking an Electronic Controls Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and continuously improve industrial control systems across multiple mill locations.

This hands-on role supports capital projects and existing operations with PLCs, SCADA, Ignition, HMIs, industrial networks, and robotics. You will lead upgrades, coordinate with vendors, and provide advanced technical support to improve equipment uptime, safety, and production

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering or related field.
7+ years of controls engineering experience in an industrial setting.
Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Design, program, troubleshoot, and support PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Ignition applications.
Develop automation solutions to improve uptime, safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Lead control system upgrades and OEM integrations; coordinate with maintenance and operations teams.
