Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead planning, design, and deployment of automated control systems across industries. You will develop construction documents, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive design reviews and proposals.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and strong communication skills, with a focus on quality and industry leadership. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• PE or P.Eng license is required or eligible.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture and teamwork.
• Minimum 10 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and implementation of automated control systems.
• Coordinate with clients and multi-discipline teams through design.
• Produce accurate construction documents (P&IDs, drawings, specs).
• Review shop drawings and support field activities during construction.
• Interface with Electrical, Process and Cybersecurity specialists.
• Lead design reviews, scoping, and proposal development with clients.
• Mentor junior staff and develop SMEs within the team.
• Support QA/QC and system testing/commissioning activities.
