Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead the planning, design, and implementation of automated industrial control systems across food/beverage, oil/gas, logistics, manufacturing, and more. You will produce construction documents, review drawings, and coordinate with multidiscipline teams to ensure project milestones are met.

The role requires a PE license, a 10-year track record in control systems design, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Minimum 10 years of applicable experience.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and implementation of automated control systems across multiple market sectors.
• Create biddable, technically accurate construction documents (P&IDs, diagrams, specs).
• Coordinate with multidiscipline teams and client staff through all design stages.
• Review shop drawings and provide field observation during construction.
• Develop preliminary reports and studies to propose system improvements.
