Job summary

HDR is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to support the global Control Systems practice with design, automation programming, testing and commissioning of industrial control systems across multiple sectors. You will work under a Senior Engineer to create technically accurate construction documents and support field activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, design reviews, and advancing to senior engineering responsibilities within HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• PE license (or P.Eng) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of applicable experience in control systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is expected.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client facilities to assess current control systems.
• Assist with development of biddable construction documents (P&IDs, diagrams).
• Coordinate with electrical and process engineers on network and instrumentation needs.
• Support SCADA/I&C design, testing and commissioning activities.
