Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior Control Systems Engineer to design and integrate SCADA systems and network architectures for diverse facilities. You will collaborate with electrical, process, and cybersecurity specialists to deliver robust, compliant control solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, field activity, and delivering technically accurate construction documents supporting energy, data centers, and commercial projects. On-site presence in Kansas City area is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
PE license (PE or P.Eng) required.
10+ years in control systems engineering or related field.
Experience leading control systems tasks, projects and teams.
Experience with startup and commissioning of control systems.

Responsibilities

Perform complex assignments evaluating engineering techniques and procedures.
Coordinate workload for control systems staff through design, development and construction phases.
Develop SCADA/control system documents including P&IDs and diagrams.
Lead SCADA and network Master Planning projects.
Travel to client facilities for field activities and documentation.
Coordinate with project manager to update workplans and track budget and schedule.
Participate in system testing and commissioning.
