Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Industrial Architect in Toledo, OH to lead architectural design for manufacturing and industrial facilities. You will manage project delivery, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor staff, and maintain schedules and budgets to ensure quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes translating complex operational requirements into safe, constructible environments while building strong client relationships and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture and licensure to practice architecture.
• 12+ years of related practical experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to translate operational needs into architectural solutions for production environments.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety, egress, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural project delivery for industrial facilities, including new construction, expansions, and renovations.
• Design solutions addressing production workflows, material movement, and maintenance access.
• Coordinate architectural with structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and process engineering.
• Ensure code compliance, life safety, and accessibility across disciplines.
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality; mentor staff and lead client meetings.
• Support construction through field reviews and supplier evaluations; contribute to BD.

Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture

Licensed architect registration

12+ years of industrial architecture experience
