The role involves analyzing financial data, coordinating with processors and dealerships, and acting as a subject-matter expert within the underwriting team. Strong MS Office proficiency and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ direct experience in consumer underwriting.
• High school diploma or GED or more than four years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower's financial profiles and credit history to determine risk.
• Underwrite loan applications and decide approvals within policy.
• Collaborate with dealers and processors to gather information.
• Communicate reasons for approvals or rejections clearly.
• Serve on Credit Committee for high-risk/complex cases.
• Ensure compliance with credit union policies and regulations.
