Job summary

44 North Credit Union is seeking an Indirect Lending Underwriter to evaluate credit applications from the indirect lending channel and support Loan Consultants in lending decisions. This role ensures a sound loan portfolio by assessing members' financial pictures with appropriate decision authority.

The Underwriter will process loans, maintain dealer relationships, manage internet loan workflows, troubleshoot funding issues, and assist colleagues as directed by the Chief Lending Officer.

Responsibilities

• Process loans to reach a decision to approve or deny.
• Maintain relationships with dealers while balancing member finances and the credit union portfolio.
• Manage workflow of internet loans.
• Troubleshoot funding issues.
• Assist other lending staff with decisions and procedures.
• Authorize changes in loan terms and waivers as needed.
• Enter loan data and disburse funds as required.
