Job summary

Sunward seeks a Director of Loan Servicing to oversee consumer, indirect, and mortgage servicing across the full post‑funding lifecycle. You will lead teams through subordinate leaders, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional member experience.

You will drive annual goals, manage investor reporting, audits, and data quality while coordinating with senior leadership to optimize processes and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Eight years of loan servicing experience including consumer and mortgage servicing.
• Minimum four years of supervisory or management experience.
• Expert knowledge of mortgage servicing, escrow analysis, investor accounting, and reporting.
• Experience owning a control environment, quality control, and audits.
• Strong leadership, budget management, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Project management and servicing system administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Loan Servicing function with clear expectations and bench strength.
• Ensure coverage and documented procedures for critical servicing tasks and investor reporting.
• Translate lending strategy into annual goals and align with senior leadership.
• Maintain accountability for consumer, indirect, and mortgage servicing processes and remediation.
• Own investor reporting calendars, remittance accuracy, and servicer scorecard management.
• Oversee compliance with federal/state servicing laws and regulator requirements.
• Direct regulatory changes, system updates, testing, and training.
• Manage servicing platforms, data mappings, and process improvements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives with Mortgage, Accounting, IT, and Vendors.
• Lead audits/examinations, issue closure, and root‑cause analysis.
