ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a Senior Incident Response Coordinator to lead the most critical IT incidents. You will coordinate war rooms, enforce runbooks, and drive cross‑team collaboration to minimize mission impact.

You will translate technical risk into business terms for senior leadership, ensure timely communications, and champion readiness and continual improvement across enterprise ITSM processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field or relevant work experience.
• 8+ years in incident management or incident response within large or federal IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL principles and incident governance including runbooks and comms.
• Proficiency with incident management tools and ITSM platforms for executive reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to brief senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead war room facilitation, structure major incident bridges and track actions to closure.
• Enforce playbooks, escalation matrices, and communication templates for incidents.
• Engage dependencies early to remove bottlenecks delaying restoration.
• Produce leadership updates translating technical risk into business terms.
• Coordinate with Problem, Change, Release, and SOC/Cyber IR during incidents.
• Run tabletop exercises and audit on-call readiness across shifts.
• Mentor junior staff on escalation, communication, and analysis.
• Document timelines, decisions, and impact assessments for audits.
