Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Senior Incident Response Coordinator to lead tactical IT incident coordination and executive communications. You will drive war-room facilitation, maintain runbooks, and ensure cross-team alignment to minimize mission impact.

You will develop incident playbooks, escalation matrices, and templates, translating technical risk into business terms for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in incident management/response in large enterprise or federal IT environments.
• Deep ITIL knowledge and runbook governance for incidents.
• Experience with incident management tools and ITSM platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to brief senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead tactical coordination of major IT incidents to minimize mission impact.
• Facilitate war rooms, enforce cadence and runbooks, track actions to closure.
• Develop and maintain incident playbooks, escalation matrices, and templates.
• Translate technical impact into clear business language for leadership.
• Coordinate with Problem/Change/Release/SOC for cross-functional issues.
• Run tabletop exercises and audit readiness across shifts.
