Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a Senior Incident Response Coordinator to lead complex IT incident management, drive cross-team collaboration, and provide executive-ready communications during major events.

You will structure war rooms, enforce runbooks, and coordinate with cyber defenders as needed to minimize mission impact and support continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, business, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in incident management or related IT roles including leadership of major incidents.
• Deep understanding of ITIL principles and runbooks governance.
• Proficient with incident management tools, ITSM platforms, and monitoring solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of briefing senior leadership in business terms.
• Able to lead multiple concurrent incidents and drive consensus across stakeholders.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• War‑Room Facilitation: structure major incident bridges, assign actions, track progress to closure.
• Process Execution & Standards: maintain runbooks, escalation matrices, and templates.
• Value‑Stream Awareness: engage infra, apps, identity, cloud, network dependencies early.
• Communications: produce leadership updates translating technical impact into business terms.
• Cross‑Practice Integration: coordinate with Problem, Change, Release, and SOC/Cyber IR.
• Readiness & Drills: run tabletop exercises and audit on‑call readiness across teams.
• Mentoring: coach coordinators and junior staff on escalation protocols and analysis.
