This role enforces incident runbooks and governance, integrates with cyber defenders as needed, and champions readiness and continual improvement across shifts and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 8+ years of incident management/response experience, including leadership of major incidents in large enterprise or federal IT environments.
• Deep understanding of ITIL principles and governance of runbooks, escalation models, and communications.
• Proficiency with incident management tools, ITSM platforms, and monitoring solutions for reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to brief senior leadership in business terms.
• Ability to lead multiple concurrent complex incidents and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• War-Room Facilitation: Structure and lead major incident bridges; assign actions; track progress to closure.
• Process Execution & Standards: Enforce incident playbooks, escalation matrices, and templates; ensure audit-ready records.
• Value-Stream Awareness: Engage infra, apps, identity, cloud, network early to remove restoration bottlenecks.
• Communications: Produce executive updates translating technical risk into business language.
• Cross‑Practice Integration: Coordinate with Problem, Change, Release, Service Continuity, and SOC/Cyber IR.
• Readiness & Drills: Run tabletop exercises; review playbooks; audit on-call readiness across shifts.
• Mentoring: Coach coordinators on escalation protocols and communication discipline.
• Evidence & Audit Trail: Document timelines, decisions, and impact assessments for compliance.
