You will structure war rooms, enforce cadence and runbooks, drive cross‑team collaboration, and deliver executive‑ready communications during major events.

You will follow enterprise ITSM governance, integrate with cyber defenders when needed, mentor junior staff, and ensure thorough documentation for compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in incident management, incident response, or related IT roles, including leadership of major incidents in large enterprise or federal environments.
• Deep understanding of ITIL principles and incident management best practices.
• Proven ability to brief senior leadership and translate technical risk into business terms.
• Proficiency with incident management tools and ITSM platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive updates.

Responsibilities

• War Room Facilitation: Structure and lead major incident bridges; track progress to closure; enforce messaging cadence.
• Process Execution & Standards: Enforce incident playbooks and escalation matrices; ensure ITSM record quality and documentation discipline.
• Value-Stream Awareness: Engage dependencies early; identify bottlenecks delaying restoration.
• Communications: Produce leadership updates and executive briefings; translate impact/risk to business terms; maintain SSOT.
• Cross‑Practice Integration: Coordinate with Problem, Change, Release, Service Continuity, and SOC/Cyber IR.
• Readiness & Drills: Run tabletop exercises; review playbooks; audit on-call readiness.
• Mentoring: Coach coordinators and junior staff on escalation protocols and analysis techniques.
• Evidence & Audit Trail: Document timelines and decisions for compliance and audit.
