Job summary

TC Energy Corp. seeks an experienced Incident & Emergency Management Specialist to join the Incident & Emergency Management team.

The role involves senior-level leadership in investigations, emergency preparedness, governance, and program assurance across enterprise operations. The successful candidate will lead complex investigations, advise on event classification, and drive continuous improvements while coordinating with leaders and functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Emergency Management, OH&S, Environmental Science or related field.
• 8+ years progressive experience in incident investigation or emergency management.
• Experience leading investigations and producing formal reports; knowledge of incident command structures.
• Experience conducting assurance reviews, audits, or management system evaluations.
• Ability to manage complex assignments with multiple stakeholders and sensitive information.
• Strong facilitation, critical thinking, and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance and SME input for incident and emergency management across units and regions.
• Develop and improve frameworks, standards, procedures, tools, and program expectations.
• Advise leaders on event classification, investigation requirements, and corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, document findings, and support lessons learned.
• Ensure consistent application of requirements through cross-functional reviews and implementation activities.
• Share best practices and emerging risks to strengthen organizational learning.
• Provide quality review of investigation reports, emergency documentation, and related deliverables.
• Plan assurance activities, program assessments, and action-effectiveness evaluations.
• Analyze data to identify systemic issues and enterprise improvement priorities.
• Support emergency preparedness with plans, procedures, training, and exercises.
