Job summary

AltaGas seeks a Sr. Advisor, Incident & Emergency Management to strengthen emergency preparedness, incident response, and resilience. You will lead program development, provide expert guidance, and drive readiness across operations, engineering, safety, and leadership.

You’ll coordinate response activities, support EOC activations, and lead exercises and after-action reviews to embed lessons learned. Travel to sites and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in emergency management, homeland security, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in emergency management, utility operations, or crisis management.
• Experience supporting emergency response operations, preparedness programs, and investigations.
• Experience in ICS and EOC environments and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of the Incident & Emergency Management program.
• Develop, maintain, and exercise emergency response plans and playbooks.
• Provide SME guidance on preparedness, response strategies, and readiness.
• Coordinate response activities during emergencies, weather events, and disruptions.
• Support EOC/ICS activations and lead assigned roles during incidents.
• Lead exercises, drills, and readiness assessments.
• Conduct risk analyses and strengthen organizational resilience.
• Lead after-action reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Build relationships with regulators, public safety, and mutual aid partners.
