Job summary

Ferrovial Energy US seeks an experienced In-House Counsel to support the lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects in the United States.

The role covers advising on M&A transactions, drafting and negotiating renewable energy contracts (PPAs, EPCs, O&M), and managing project finance documents including tax equity and tax credit transfers, with a focus on rigorous compliance and risk management in a fast-paced energy market.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required and license to practice in a US state.
• Minimum 5 years of transactional experience in energy projects (renewable or conventional).
• Experience at top-tier law firms or in-house legal teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal support for the lifecycle of utility-scale energy projects in the US.
• Advise on M&A transactions and structure deals to minimize risk.
• Draft and negotiate renewable energy contracts (PPAs, EPCs, O&M).
• Manage project finance documents, including tax equity and tax credit transfers.
