Job summary

Confidential, a stealth-mode immunology biotech startup, is seeking a Senior Scientist in San Diego to lead design, execution, and analysis of in vitro immunology assays to elucidate mechanism of action and prioritize lead candidates for clinical development.

You will conduct hands-on experiments, manage CRO collaborations, and contribute to project planning, documentation, and communication of results to scientific and leadership stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of drug discovery experience in pharma/biotech.
• Bachelor's in Biology or related field required (PhD not required).
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and executing immune cell‑based assays.
• Experience with CRO collaborations and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze in vitro immunology assays to elucidate mechanism of action.
• Lead collaborations with CROs and external partners to align research objectives.
• Plan experiments, document results, and present to leadership teams.
• Maintain electronic lab records and generate technical reports for regulatory submissions.
