Northern Trust Corp. is seeking a Sr Lead Cyber Security Engineer in Chicago, IL to lead the Workforce Authentication and Authorization team.

You will drive authentication and access management initiatives across hybrid and cloud environments, applying zero-trust and least-privilege principles to protect critical identities and services. The role requires deep expertise in Entra ID, Azure, AWS, and IAM technologies, with experience securing Java microservices, front-end applications, and mobile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ten years in Information Security; five years as a Tech Lead.
• CISSP, CSSP, or Cloud security certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Identity-centric workforce security solutions team for authentication and access management.
• Develop identity solutions, access patterns, and modern security protocols with zero-trust and least-privilege principles.
• Review IAM-related security proposals and consult with partners and IT management.
• Provide hands-on security solutions for Java microservices, React frontends, and mobile apps on Azure/AWS.
