Job summary

Northern Trust in Chicago seeks a Sr Lead Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise data protection solutions such as SecuPi DAM, Purview and DLP. You will lead secure integrations, encryption strategies, and cloud/on‑prem integration with AKS and Docker, guiding security architecture across teams.

The role demands 9+ years in cyber security, strong API security skills, Java SDK work, and experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with SecuPi / DAM technologies.
• Experience developing custom integrations using SecuPi SDKs, APIs, or similar security platform frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, authentication mechanisms, and API security.
• Experience integrating security platforms with SIEM/SOAR tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, etc).
• Java development experience for SDK integration and automation.
• Experience deploying Java apps in Docker and AKS environments.
• CI/CD, Git, automation and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of SecuPi DAM controls and data-level encryption.
• Lead deployment and administration of Microsoft Purview, DLP, and information protection.
• Manage Zscaler DLP, CASB, ZIA, ZPA, SSE controls for enterprise data.
• Design, develop, and maintain SDK-based integrations to SecuPi.
• Support AKS-based deployments and containerized environments.
• Drive data security policy design and monitoring use cases.
• Collaborate with cloud and application teams for secure integration.
