Job summary

First National Technology Solutions (FNTS) is seeking a Sr. IBM iSeries Engineer to maintain IBM i environments and lead problem resolution for managed services customers. You will plan migrations, manage backups, and implement OS upgrades while coordinating with client teams.

Remote work is available anywhere in the US. Candidates should have 10+ years of IBM iSeries system administration, strong TCP/IP and storage experience, and excellent communication skills to support enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• IBM iSeries System Administration with 10+ years experience.
• Proficient in i/OS versions from V5R4 to V7R3.
• Experience with POWER systems hardware and HMC-LPAR configs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents with in-depth analysis to meet SLAs.
• Review issues to proactively avoid future problems as part of continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports and assist with DR testing, OS upgrades, and PTF deployment.
• Migrate and support customer environments and remote management setups.
• Implement technologies per roadmap including Live Partition Mobility and new OS releases.
