Wolseley Canada is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to develop, maintain, and support critical business applications on the IBM i/AS400 platform. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions that support operations and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong RPG and COBOL programming skills, 5+ years on IBM System i, and experience across the full SDLC. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level/advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years programming on IBM System i/AS400
• Experience with RPG IV, RPG Free, ILE, SEU, SDA, embedded SQL
• Strong COBOL experience on the iSeries

Responsibilities

• Create technical specifications and implement high-quality business information processing systems
• Develop and maintain applications on IBM i platform
• Review proposals and select efficient development approaches
• Deliver projects through the full SDLC on schedule
• Participate in code reviews and testing phases
• Provide Go-Live and post-deployment support
• Analyze and debug existing applications
• Assist with new applications and system upgrades
• Collaborate with team manager to meet timelines and requirements
