Job summary

Fresche Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior RPG Programmer/Analyst to support and enhance business-critical applications on IBM i / AS400. You will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions across client systems and maintain core business apps.

The role emphasizes hands-on RPG/RPGLE development, CL and IBM i SQL, and Synon2/E components. You will analyze requirements, resolve production issues, and contribute to the lifecycle from design to post-production

Qualifications

Strong experience in IBM i / AS400 development.
Proficient with RPG / RPGLE and CL.
Experience with IBM i SQL.
Knowledge of Synon2/E (COOL 2/E).
Experience supporting client enterprise applications.
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
Ability to work with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain and support IBM i / AS400 applications.
Work with RPG, RPGLE, CL, and IBM i SQL to enhance existing enterprise apps.
Contribute to Synon2/E (COOL 2/E) components and legacy code.
Analyze requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing and deployment.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams.
