Maximus is seeking a FULL TIME Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client in a remote capacity. Candidates must possess an active Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).

The role focuses on writing, updating, and maintaining IBM COBOL programs, DB2 utilities, and related interfaces. You will lead design, coding, testing, and documentation efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant tax processing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• At least 4 years of IBM COBOL programming experience.
• Experience with DB2 and IBM DB2 utilities.
• Experience with CICS, JCL, and batch processing.
