Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Cyber Manager — Identity & Access Management to drive enterprise IAM strategy for human and non-human identities. You will own identity proofing, privileged access, and seamless patient login journeys within Sentara's ecosystem.

The role leads the technology stack, coordinates with Cyber Threat Operations, and ensures secure, scalable identity services across clinical and corporate environments. A senior leader with healthcare security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• 15+ years in technology and cybersecurity with 5+ years in senior leadership in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, FIDO2) and cloud/hybrid IAM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IAM across workforce, partners, and non-human identities to enforce Zero Trust.
• Direct development and modernization of core identity tech stack and data platforms.
• Coordinate with Security Operations to monitor identity threats and credential abuse.
