Job summary

MongoDB Atlas is hiring a Senior Engineer to join the IAM team in New York City under a hybrid working model. You will design and deliver core IAM components, lead projects from specification to delivery, and mentor colleagues as you improve our codebase and engineering practices.

You’ll work on authentication and authorization systems (OAuth, SSO, RBAC/ABAC) and contribute to login and registration flows while collaborating across teams to ship secure, scalable features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems.
• Proficient in a modern compiled language (e.g., Java, Go, C#, C++).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to mentor others.
• Experience building IAM systems: authentication (OAuth, SSO) and authorization (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC).
