Orange County Water District is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to perform journey-level instrumentation and electrical tasks. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems, including SCADA support, PLCs, and control devices.

The position requires six years of experience or equivalent, with certification in instrumentation/electrical.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in instrumentation, electrical and/or process controls required.
• Six years of journey-level instrumentation and electrical experience or equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Installs, repairs, and calibrates instrumentation systems and equipment including PLCs, transmitters, controllers, and sensors.
• Repairs medium and low voltage electrical equipment and lighting; handle up to 12 kV distribution and related components.
• Assists in SCADA system support and troubleshooting for software/hardware; provides after-hours standby support.
• Prepares and maintains reports detailing work progress and system parameters.
• Reads and interprets electrical prints and schematics for installation and troubleshooting.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems up to 12 KV.
• Operates in non-permitted and permitted confined spaces with proper safety measures.
• Wears SCBA and participates in emergency response as required.
