Job summary

Zone 7 Water Agency is seeking an Instrument Technician II to independently perform the full range of duties related to instrumentation for its facilities. The role covers installation, documentation, maintenance and repair of instruments and control equipment used in water production and distribution systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of full-time skilled work in mechanical/electromechanical repairs or instrumentation repair; at least two years in industrial instrumentation.
• Valid California Driver's License is required.
• Must be physically capable to perform duties in confined/high spaces and wear respiratory safety equipment as required by OSHA/Cal/OSHA.
• ISA CCSTII certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, document, maintain and repair instruments and control equipment for public water production/distribution facilities.
• Manage instruments across mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and instrumentation systems including SCADA and PLC hardware/software.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all maintenance tasks.
• Document and communicate maintenance activities and issues to supervisor.

4+ years instrumentation experience

California Driver's License

OSHA/Cal/OSHA safety compliance

Strong mechanical/electromechanical修

2-Year Instrumentation & Industrial Automation Tech program (Perry Tech)
