Pasco County BOCC is seeking a SCADA Technical Specialist to support water and wastewater SCADA operations, calibration, installation and maintenance of PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing process-control equipment across plant and field locations.

You will work with SCADA programmers and operators, using CAD for schematics and ensuring end-to-end accuracy of instrument readings on operator interfaces.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in electronics or a related field and one year of experience in electrical/industrial automation.
• OR completion from technical school with electronics/process instrumentation focus and three years of related experience.
• OR high school and five years of experience in electrical/industrial automation instrumentation.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises and trains less experienced technicians as required.
• Coordinates work with the SCADA team and other workgroups.
• Installs and calibrates analog and digital instrumentation using manuals, meters and calibration tools.
• Programs, troubleshoots, or replaces PLC equipment and hardware.
• Reads schematics and maintenance manuals; tests low voltage circuits; replaces defective parts.
• Uses CAD to prepare schematic drawings reflecting changes to instruments and systems.
