Job summary

Alameda County Zone 7 is seeking an Instrument Technician II to independently perform instrumentation and control system maintenance for a public water production and distribution system. The role involves installing, documenting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of instruments, SCADA, and PLC components within Zone 7 facilities.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and at least four years of related experience, including two inindustrial instrumentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years of full-time experience in skilled mechanical/electro-mechanical work, with at least two years in industrial instrumentation.
• Two-year program in Instrumentation & Industrial Automation Technology may substitute for two years experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, document, maintain, and repair instruments and control equipment for public water facilities.
• Work with SCADA and PLC hardware/software as part of instrumentation systems.
• Provide precise documentation and reporting of instrumentation maintenance activities.
