Job summary

Arcadis seeks an Instrumentation & I&C System Design Engineer to join the Resilience Water team in Ohio locations or Detroit. You will design and prepare design and construction documents for projects, coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers, and develop P&IDs, SCADA network diagrams, control narratives, and panel layouts.

You will project manage, budget, and oversee design and startup, program PLCs, configure HMIs, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
5+ years of I&C, Automation, and SCADA system design and implementation experience in water/wastewater market.
EIT/Professional Engineer license.

Responsibilities

Produce design & construction documents for projects and coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
Prepare technical memorandums and design criteria, SCADA architecture, P&IDs, SCADA network diagrams, and control narratives.
Develop control schematics, panel layout diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.
Program PLCs and configure HMIs; collect data histories and generate reports.
Mentor junior engineers and designers.
